Gorillaz - Emotions ch 4

2D sat on his bed and started thinking about what Cyborg Noodle said before she went. He actually thought that this little lesson with her had been nice. It wasn't many people around the place that he could talk to except for the pelican and the seagull. Well, maybe they weren't the best choice because either they wouldn't listen or they cut him off. The engineer in the engine room weren't a better choice either. Murdoc was already out of his mind on that part. But Cyborg Noodle had really showed him another side of her. Maybe, just maybe they could become good friends. Cyborg Noodle walked out of the elevator that just had stopped. She walked slowly through the short hallway to Murdocs room and opened the door. She stepped inside the room and found the bassist sleeping deep in his big bed. Cyborg Noodle blinked slowly and walked up to the snoring bassist. She tapped him on the shoulder but he only groaned and slapped her hand away. Cyborg Noodle glowered down at the bassist and roughly ripped the blanket off him. Murdoc opened his eyes and growled. He sat up and rubbed his head. He blinked a little to get used to the morning light. He then turned his head and faced the Cyborg. Her face was blank as usual and Murdoc looked at her with tired eyes.

Murdoc: …Arrghh my head.

Cyborg: …You wanted me to wake you up early…

Murdoc: Yeah I know…

Cyborg: …

Murdoc: What time is it? *rubs his head*

Cyborg: …It is 07:36 am…

Murdoc: Urghh! Yeah yeah that's great.

Murdoc got out of the bed and reached for some clothes. Cyborg Noodle didn't bother if he changed clothes or anything else. She looked around a little in the room before she turned her face back to the bassist.

Cyborg: …Why do you want to get up so early?...

Murdoc: Didn't I tell you that before? I want to be sure that the damn boogeyman isn't around all the time.  Sometimes I can't even sleep at night.

Cyborg: …I will shoot him the next time he arrives…

Murdoc: Yeah but I can't be too sure about it. You missed him once and you can do it again.

Cyborg: … *glares at him*

Murdoc: If you wonder where I am I will be on the roof. I have to look around the place a little.

Cyborg: …The roof?...

Murdoc: Yeah the roof! And when I'm finished up there I will go down to my secret room and keep an eye on the beach from the inside.

Cyborg: …Do that…

Murdoc: Oh yeah! I call you when I need you!

Cyborg: …ok…

Murdoc had finished dressing and grabbed his spyglass. He passed Cyborg Noodle and walked out of his room. He took the elevator and went up to his study. Cyborg Noodle stayed in Murdoc's room for a little while. She looked at the bassist's bed and noticed a lot of magazines under and on it. She walked up to them and picked one up. Not that she cared so much about what was on the cover because she has seen it before. It was pictures of naked women's on the cover. She threw it back on the bed and walked out of the room. She didn't know quiet much if the magazines could have something to do with emotions. When that came to her mind she wanted to go back down to 2D and keep learning about emotions. Cyborg Noodle looked around the room a final time before she went back to the lift. When she stepped inside she felt that something was different. Maybe not sure if she "felt" anything but she did know that something was wrong. She couldn't explain it to herself. Cyborg Noodle ignored the weird thing that came to mind and pressed the button to 2Ds room. 2D as well has expected her to come back down and was waiting for her. When she stepped inside his room he actually smiled at her.

2D: H-Hi!

Cyborg: …hello…

2D: I see you came back.

Cyborg: …Like I said before…

2D: Heh good. So would you like to start your lesson?

Cyborg: …Sure…

Cyborg Noodle walked up to the singer and sat down on his bed. She walked more slowly than usual and 2D noticed how she walked. He wasn't sure if he should ask her anything about. Maybe she would get mad. Cyborg Noodle turned her slowly to face the singer and waited for him to start teaching her. 2D picked up the block that they had used before and grabbed a pencil. Cyborg Noodle watching draw some more expressions and then he write their names under it. 2D then showed her the block.

2D: These are the most normal expressions and emotions that people will learn about at first.

Cyborg: …*looks at the pictures*…

2D: *points at the happy smiley* you already know this is happiness.

Cyborg: *nods*…

2D: *points at the angry smiley* and this is the expression of anger. You know "anger".

Cyborg: …Yes…The emotion master shows often…

2D: Exactly. And of course sadness. *points at the sad smiley*

Cyborg: …That emotion you often shows…

2D: Yeah I know…

Cyborg Noodle flinched a little and then blinked slowly. 2D stared at her in shock and backed away a little. Cyborg Noodle didn't understand why that had happened to her. She wasn't broken or anything because she knew that herself. The singer observed her with a worried look. He hoped he hadn't done anything bad to her. If Murdoc found out that his Cyborg had technical problems or even found her broken he would kill 2D. Cyborg Noodle flew up from the bed without warning and 2D almost fell backwards in shock. Cyborg Noodle now knew what her problem was. Her battery was soon out of energy and she needed to be charged. She noticed that when she had left her cupboard last night to see 2D her battery was far away from begin full charged. Now she needed to get back to her cupboard before her battery was out. She turned to the singer who stared at her with large eyes.

Cyborg: …I Need charging!... Battery is low!...

2D: OH!

Cyborg: *starts sway* …Battery level low…

2D: Wait! I will help you!

Cyborg: …Battery lev-

Cyborg Noodle stopped speaking when she collapsed and hit the floor. 2D stared at her in shock. If Murdoc found Cyborg Noodle in this state he would get insane. 2D carefully poked Cyborg Noodles cheek in hope that she would wake up. Of course it didn't work and 2D started panic. He shook her and looked around him. He hoped that Murdoc wouldn't find out about this. 2D calmed down and took a deep breath. Cyborg Noodle's cupboard wasn't far away. Maybe he could get her back up there. 2D reaches down and turned the Cyborg to lie on her back. Then he tried to lift her up. It wasn't that easy because she was quite heavy. 2D lifted her up in his arms and gasped for air. Even if she was heavy he was a bit weak for this. 2D took slowly and long steps to the lift and tried his best to press the button. It worked and the doors opened and he stepped inside it slowly with heavily steps. When 2D stood in the elevator with the Cyborg in his arms he forgot about the pain in his arms and looked at her face. She really reminded him of Noodle right now. She looked so peaceful when she was "passed out". 2D thought back to when Noodle always had fall asleep on the couch at Kong studios and 2D carried her back to her room. 2D couldn't help but let a few tears ran down his cheeks. One of them hit Cyborg Noodle's face but she didn't notice since she was out of energy. The elevator arrived at the engine room and 2D took a better grip on Cyborg Noodle in his arms. He walked out of the elevator slowly and took deep breaths at the same time. When he walked into the room he passed the engineer Dave who didn't heard him at first because of the banging noise he was making all the time. 2D didn't bother to ask for help or anything. He carefully tried to reach the Cyborg's cupboard but it wasn't that easy when he knew it wasn't any stairway to get down with. 2D stood still for a while to think but then felt the pain in his arms grow stronger. 2D yelped a little and turned around. That made him slipped on the platforms edge and without warning he felled backwards and hit the ground with Cyborg Noodle over him. The large bang and the scream from the singer made the engineer jumped and looked around. He then saw 2D laying on the ground with the Cyborg over him. 2D groaned in pain and tried to move a little but failed. Before any of them could do anything they heard the elevator doors open. A confused and irritated bassist stormed into the room and looked around. The large bang had been heard all over the place and even outside. Murdoc walked up to the edge that the engineer was looking over. Murdoc pushed him aside and looked down on what was laying on the floor. He froze at the sight. 2D was laying all red in his face and had an expression that could be misread. On him laid Cyborg Noodle who's shirt had go up a little so her back was showed. This whole thing could really be misread. 2D noticed the bassist who stared down at him with angry eyes. 2D gulped and bit his lower lip. He wasn't sure what Murdoc would do to him now.
