Gorillaz - Emotions ch 3

2D looked Cyborg Noodle in the eyes. He actually went a little shocked. He never knew that Cyborg Noodle wanted to feel emotions after all. And how could she start to feel feelings when she didn't even know how to feel. Now 2D really felt confused. He rubbed his forehead and closed his eyes. 2D tried to think of a good way to teach Cyborg Noodle. He stopped thinking when he felt the Cyborg rubbed his head. Did she helped him or was she just curious? 2D let his hand fall down and let the Cyborg touch him. He bit his lip and looked at her with a skeptical look. Cyborg Noodle didn't seem to bother. After a while she stopped rubbing 2Ds head and rubbed her own instead. She didn't felt anything at all. She even let out a low sign or at least tried. She had heard 2D signed many times before and tried to do the same herself.

2D: Maybe we should try to continue…

Cyborg: …yes…

2D: Umm is it something special you would like to know?

Cyborg: …I want to know everything…

2D: B-But I'm completely out of ideas…

Cyborg: …What exactly is anger?...

2D: A-Anger?

Cyborg: …Master shows it very often…

2D: Anger is a feeling that you get when you don't like special things or when someone is mean to you. You can even feel anger when you're sad.

Cyborg: *eyes shot open* …Sad?...

2D: Y-Yeah.

Cyborg: …interesting…

2D: You see, All feelings are connected to each other even if you don't think about it.

Cyborg: *went closer to 2D* …Tell me more!...

The singer was very surprised how someone could be so interested in emotions. But he did understand if Cyborg Noodle was. She was a machine after all and wanted to know more about human feelings. 2D thought about it all and figured out that it maybe could get them both to know each other better. Maybe even become good friends. That would make it easier to walk around at the beach and maybe she would try to shoot him again. 2D rose up from the bed and walked over to a box that stood in a corner of his room. Cyborg Noodle followed him with her eyes but stayed were she was. 2D opened the box and started to look around in it a bit. He started digging into the box and threw different kind of stuff around him. Cyborg Noodle watched him and blinked slowly. She then looked down on the floor and saw all the things that lied all over it. 2D had been throwing some colored socks, some technical things, small empty pill bottles, some DVD-films (mostly zombie movies), some books and other different things. 2D kept on searching through the box and Cyborg Noodle kept staring at all the things that flew over the floor. But something really caught the Cyborg's attention. She stared at a plastic object that lay on the floor not far away from her. She rose from her seat and walked up to the object. It looked like an instrument of a kind. Without knowing so much about the new object she picked it up and turned it around to inspect it better. She had seen 2D played on this instrument before but didn't care about it. She turned her head when she heard a groan from the singer. 2D lifted his head up from the box and rubbed the back of his head.

2D: Where did they go now?

Cyborg: …

2D: I'm sure I put them here somewhere…

Cyborg: …What are you searching for?...

2D: Um well I… Oh wait! Here they are.

Cyborg Noodle blinked and looked at the singer. 2D pulled out some pencils and a paper block. He then turned to face the Cyborg who was standing near the bed. 2D stopped and stared at what she had in her hands. It was his Melodica.

Cyborg: …What is this?...

2D: That? That's my Melodica.

Cyborg: …Melodica…

2D walked up to the Cyborg and reached out his hand and asked for the Melodica. She handed it over to him without a word. The only thing she looked at right now was his face.

2D: Yeah. I didn't know I put it in that box… And I have looked all over for it.

Cyborg: …

2D: Ah anyway. Come! *sits down on the bed*

Cyborg: …

2D: W-what's wrong?

Cyborg: …You showed emotions again…

2D: Huh?

Cyborg: …When you looked at the Melodica… You showed "sadness"… Why?...

2D: Well… Every time I look at a keyboard or a Melodica I think back to the time before everything turned out like this.

Cyborg: …?

2D: It reminds me of my childhood a little. And even my dad…

Cyborg: …Your expression had changed…

2D: Huh?

Cyborg: …You look different…

2D: I'm a bit sad right now…

Cyborg: …Don't be…please keep teach me…

2D: Oh yeah. I'm sorry. Come!

Cyborg Noodle sat down beside 2D on the bed and stared at the block he was holding. 2D tried to smile a little and looked up at Cyborg Noodle. She looked back as well. Her eyes kept showing glints of curiosity. 2D lifted up the block in front of her face and then picked up a pencil.

2D: Okay. I will now show you some expressions.

Cyborg: …ok…

2D: Expressions is connected to feelings like I showed a little before.

Cyborg: …I see…

2D: *draws something in the block* Here!

2D lifted up the block in front of Cyborg Noodle again and the picture represented a happy smiley. 2D peeked out from behind of the block and smiled as well. Cyborg observed the new faces in front of her without a word. 2D put down the block and laid it on the bed between them both.

2D: I don't know if you maybe already know about this. But this expression is connected to "Happiness".

Cyborg: …Happiness…

2D: Yes happiness. I believe that it's the best feeling of all.

Cyborg: …how so?...

2D: Because when you're feeling happy you see everything in the positive way. You don't find anything bad.

Cyborg: …That really sounds interesting…

2D: Yeah. But it's great when you feel real happy and laughs.

Cyborg: …I want to feel happiness…

2D: I'm sure you would like it. But you should maybe talk to Murdoc after all. He's the one who build you.

Cyborg: …I will do that… Do you know what time is it?...

2D: Huh? The time? Yes it's 07:14 am. 07:14 AM!!? Oh geez… We have been up all night.

Cyborg: …I need to go then… Master wants me to wake him up early more often…

2D: Oh ok.

Cyborg: …Bye and thank you for the information you gave me…

2D: You're welcome.

Cyborg Noodle rose from the bed and walked up the elevator door. She pressed the button and waited. The elevator arrived and the doors open. 2D followed the Cyborg with his eyes. Cyborg Noodle stopped right in front of the elevator and turned to the singer. 2D blinked and looked at her confused. The Cyborg looked at him.

Cyborg: …I will come down to you when I'm done…I really want to know and learn more…
